Friends laughing in a kitchen
Formentera · August

Every year, millions of vacation homes stand empty for months at a time. Meanwhile, friends would love to visit — if only there were an easy way to ask, and a dignified way to give back.

One Fine Share turns those empty rooms into something better than rent: a donation to a cause your friend cares about. No awkward money talk. No listings, no strangers, no keys under mats. Just an invitation — and a circle that grows warmer with every stay.

We're building the biggest donation feeder channel in the world, one long weekend at a time.

Moments from the circle

Long lunches, quiet mornings,\nand a house that suddenly feels full.

02 — How it works

Three gentle steps,
zero awkward money talk.

Most hosts finish their listing in under ten minutes — and never have to chase a booking again.

i.

Invite your circle.

Create a private, multi-use invite link. Set who it's for — inner circle, close friends, friends-of-friends — and when it expires. Nothing is public, ever.

ii.

Host a stay, on your terms.

Confirm requests by hand. Set a suggested donation range. Use LIFO for last-minute nights.

iii.

Turn the stay into a donation.

After check-out, we nudge your guest — gently — to donate to a charity they love. Local, global, tax-deductible; you both see the receipt.

03 — The circle system

Four rings of closeness.
You choose who sees what.

Jedes Zuhause lebt in einem Kreis. Inner für Familie, Close für beste Freunde, Extended für Freundesfreunde, Open für alle mit Link.

Inner Circle

Available at launch

Family and the handful of friends who'd feed your plants. A token donation keeps it sacred without turning it into a transaction.

ii.

Close Circle

Coming soon

People you'd call on a Tuesday. They know where the spare key usually goes; they donate a little more because they're staying a little longer.

iii.

Extended Circle

Coming soon

Friends of friends — vouched for, never strangers. A healthy donation that reflects a proper market rate, redirected to charity.

iv.

Open Circle

Coming soon

A link you share in a newsletter or WhatsApp group — open to the wider community, with a full donation that rivals any commercial rental.

Marta's house was sitting empty.leer.

Marta's casa in Sóller had been quiet since the kids left for university. Property tax due in October. The pool man came on Tuesdays anyway. September was supposed to be the loveliest month — and nobody was there to see it.

She sent a link to nine friends.

A private link for her Close Circle, expiring at the end of the month. Suggested donation: from €70 a night, to the cause of the guest's choice.

Joan saw it from Berlin.

A friend-of-fifteen-years, three apartments and one wedding deep. He'd had a brutal week. Two flat-mates, one cat-sitter, and a Monday morning flight to Palma. No money discussion. Just dates.

Five days of long lunches.

Joan and Inés took the keys from the neighbour. They left the place better than they found it — fresh flowers in the bedroom, the fridge restocked with anchovies and good olive oil.

The stay became €420.

Joan chose the cause Marta had pinned to the listing — the village school down the road. He rounded up by a night. The donation went straight to a registered Mallorcan charity. Tax-deductible. No money ever touched the host.

vi · Six months later

A village school got a new roof.

38 pupils, one playground, one very old roof. The tiles were laid before the spring rains. Joan and Marta both have the receipt pinned to their fridges. The casa is booked again next September.

04 — Questions

Things people actually ask.

Short, honest answers — and a real human email at the bottom if the list doesn't cover you.

Is this a rental platform?+
No. Money never touches us or the host. Guests donate directly to a registered charity they choose. The stay is a gift wrapped in a donation — legally and emotionally different from a rental.
Who decides the donation amount?+
Hosts suggest a range per circle. Guests confirm or go higher. The suggested range scales naturally from Inner Circle (symbolic) to Open Circle (full market-adjacent).
What is LIFO?+
Last-In-First-Out: when you book short notice, the host reserves the right to release your dates if a higher-tier request comes in. You're warned before it happens — and most never see it.
Can I import my existing listings?+
Yes — paste your Airbnb or Plum Guide URL and we prefill the property. You still choose photos and the circle before anything goes live.
Is it really invitation-only?+
Really. Every member is vouched for. There's no search, no browse, no public profile — just links, from friends you already trust.
What happens if something gets broken?+
Every confirmed stay is covered by a partner home-share insurance policy — up to €1M in liability and €25k in property damage. We pay the premium; you pay nothing. And because guests are friends-of-friends, claims are vanishingly rare. Most accidents end with an apology, a bottle of wine, and a fixed lamp.
Which charities can my guest pick?+
Any registered nonprofit in the EU, UK, US, or Switzerland — about 1.2M organisations through our partners. As a host you can pin three favourites that appear at the top of the guest's list (the village school, the local nature trust, your friend's animal shelter). Guests can always override.
Is the donation tax-deductible for me as a guest?+
Usually, yes. Donations go directly from you to a registered charity, so you receive an official receipt in your name — deductible in most EU countries, the UK, US, and Switzerland subject to local rules. We surface the deductibility status of each charity before you confirm so you know what you're signing up for.
Can I revoke an invite or block someone?+
Yes, at any time and without a reason. Revoking an invite kills the link immediately — anyone mid-booking loses access, anyone with a confirmed stay keeps it (or you cancel with one tap and we handle the conversation). Blocking a person hides your home from them across the network, forever.
What does it cost me to host?+
Nothing. No listing fee, no commission, no booking fee — ever. We run on a flat 4% transparency fee added to the guest's donation, paid to the charity's processor. Your guest sees that line clearly before they confirm. Everything else goes to the cause.
How is this different from Airbnb or Couchsurfing?+
Airbnb is a marketplace — strangers, prices, reviews. Couchsurfing is free — strangers, sofas, kindness as currency. We sit in the middle: friends-of-friends only, no money for anyone but a charity, and a real bed (not a sofa). The point isn't a cheaper holiday — it's making generosity the side effect of one.
